the worst thing when iding a gold is finding no dmg mod. for instance im in fow and get a req 8 chaos axe, hwen i id it its lengthens deep wound. no dmg mod whatsoever

Gold MAX damage Wingblade sword req 8

No mods whatsoever, except that it was 15% against Plants, I didnt even know pruning could GO that low.

I like my all purpose ele staff: gold max req 10 earth, cast time water 20%, skill recharge fire 20%, air+1 20%.

Ive seen 7-27 axes before, pretty wierd to have the min damage higher than max.
The main problem with guildwars is caster items, theres a much larger pool of possible mods, so much lower chance of getting the perfect 20/20 single attrib item with a req to match, the only staff ive ever had with worthwile mixed stats was a monk staff with 20%insp recharge and 20% Cast for Healing, also in a forbidden staff skin which was ok.

Would be nice to see them cleaned up a bit in nightfall.

My guess is there is a code section that randomizes the loot in each category, with a base set of stats to work from. It randomizes and viola we have new stuff to salvage (lol). I doubt they sit and create each item. I can see how they'd need this, but it's a flawed concept because random eventually hits the wall. Perhaps the concept works but the code is weak. I've often wondered how far they can push the code envelope until it pops and the results become game breaking. Like swords with max dam of 35 and req 17 swords or something similar.

I found this funky little trinket in the Underworld several months ago when soloing the UW was easier as a 55er.

Gold Amber Aegis r11 Tactic with +56 while hexed >.>

It's also quite possible that my crystalline sword is "goofy" for being req 9, instead of req 8. :\
